Purification Lodge (Sweat lodge)
The Purification or Sweat Lodge is a native tradition that assists all people in letting go of that which know longer serves them. As we enter the lodge we enter our Mother Earths womb and we pray to the heated stones, the Grandfathers that lift our prayers up to creator. We cleanse ourselves in the steam that is created by the blessed water poured over the Grandfathers, and when we leave the lodge we are reborn. Great healing and release can and has occurred in these lodges. Fear can be overcome, addictions released, and hearts opened. I, Butterfly Woman, have been honored by my Ceremonial Grandfather to run these lodges and I offer this lodge with a heart filled with love and gratitude for being taught these ways. I hope that these lodges sing to you they way they have sung to me and that you find the release and blessing in them that I have.
